I’m just glad I was able to scoop up a 39mm Explorer before they got discontinued.

The new (old) Oyster-bracelets for the BLNR and BLRO were the highlights.. :/

Not all predictions I saw were wrong. The photos from the presser catalog were accurate, right down to the Meteorite Panda dialed Daytona on OF.

Now that they are known - do you think the disco’d Explorer39 indicate a turn towards smaller case/dial models in the future?

If this had taken place on April 1st, I would have assumed it’s a April’s Fool joke.

Those with spaghetti arms?

39mm was prefect for me and many others. Glad I’ve got my 39mm - bad move from Rolex.

Let's be honest, very few will see a two tone 36mm Explorer as a mans watch.
It's a bold move and a lot of people will need to shift their perspective if this trend sticks.

I'm gutted that Tudor released a yellow gold + green dial/bezel watch. I was hoping Rolex would release a YG Hulk! But I doubt that gets made now for many years, now.

Explorer 1 in two tone
SkyDweller added jubilee

Obvious to me that the two tone DJ with jubilee is the winner over these two new ones. A 36mm explorer in two tone doesn’t make much sense, and while I love a jubilee/fluted bezel combo, the SkyD is just too massive and busy on the dial for jubilee to be proper IMO.

Evident the DJ is still inspiring design 75 years later though. “The classic watch of reference” indeed.

I have never had any of my anticipations disappointed as much as I am with this horrible S&G Explorer.
