For many of us stuck at home, thank you for this great photo diary. I've been wearing the same watch and tempted to do a similar photo diary but it would be of my kitchen, bathroom, screaming kids, and basement (where I hide). Safe travels!

Not to offend with bathroom photos, but ... thought I’d share some of the nighttime ritual cleanup after a sweaty day in DC.

Flights delays due to “Ground Hold” at JFK due to thunderstorms. This is bad news because it means we won’t make our connection to Abu Dhabi, but our bags are already on the plane, so we must take the original flight and then figure out how we’re going to get to the UAE once we land.

Update - my flight to JFK delayed by weather in NYC, so as a result, I won’t make my connection. They only fly late hours, so leaving tomorrow doesn’t get us there on time, so we may not be able to go at all. Business in the Gulf region is Sunday-Thursday (when we were supposed to meet them), so I don’t now know what’s going to happen, but what a mess. Stressing ... this is not an insignificant trip.
