You have all chosen well

The SD 43 is the best Diver that Rolex has come out with.

Here is a picture in the water with the best scuba regulator.

I agree.
You’re putting yours to its paces .
I wonder what’s the devise you’re using?

At six o’clock, there’s the Swiss Made writing.
In the MK2, Rolex added the crown logo between Swiss & Made.

Awesome picture! I’m hoping to take my DSSD JC out for a dive when I go to Florida this October

I bought my beauty at the end of July on Chrono for a little less than $1k over MSRP plus tax; full stickers and bezel protector. I tried to get on AD lists at multiple locations, even towns hours away for the past year with no luck. They wouldn’t even take my name. They said they were way over subscribed on the SD43. How is it possible that people are getting them within months, and some finding them at ADs. What have been other’s experience trying to get one?

So far the known to me differences are:

MkI vs MkII

No crown at 6 o'clock (MkI)
I instead of 1 (Mk I)
Thicker font (MkI)

New SD43

Long time lurker, first time poster here. This past week, I traded in a Rolex Polex toward this SD43. I should have bought the SD43 initially, but thought I would love the large white dial more than I did. Also, I wanted a rotating bezel for activity timing. I have protruding muscle and vein on my left wrist from an old injury, which leaves me with a “pocket” for the SD43’s deep case back. It sits better on my misshapen wrist than the flatter Exp II. Couldn’t be happier with this acquisition!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Hello Traveller,
a very nice macro of a 126600 Mk1.
What equipment and setup you use to obtain such a high-quality photo?

the thicker, fully graduated bezel makes all the difference against the submariner, not to mention the crispy red text!

I use a Canon 70D in combination with a very sharp EF-S 60mm macro. In terms of "setup", I make the best use of the available lighting and naturally, manual focus using the "live view" (real-time monitoring) system

I endured this same treatment from numerous Tourneau’s. After purchasing several expensive watches I thought one of them would come through. Two weeks ago one actually called me to say they got something in for me. I thought it was my lucky day. Turns out they were just trying to upsell me on the two tone model. I almost fell victim out of frustration but then my wife talked me out of it. She happened to mention the bait & switch at work the next day & a friendly customer connected me with an owner
of a major AD in our area. He got it for me in a week! Don’t give up!
