It's just raining in new blue dials here lately, congrats guys!

What would be your guess on how many 4500v blue dials are made worldwide each year? I counted all the available models on VCs homepage, it cant be a coincidence that its exactly 200? :)

If you divides the claimed production volume of some 25000 watches with 200 that gives an average of 125 per model per year. Then references like 4500v are probably made in a larger volume, say perhaps 3x as large as the average, since a lot of exclusive models are probably only made in low two digit volumes yearly.

So is it an reasonable estimate that 375 blue dial 4500v are made per year? If it was more than 500 that would surprise me, because then production is very skewed towards what is popular, but perhaps that is the case?

There is a blue dial Chrono up for sale on face book in the luxury watch club in pretty good condition. Last one I saw sold in an hour or so of being up.

The exact figures are unknown, but this is plausible.
Very good analysis.

Its mad to think, not to long ago they were discounting and now they are increasing.

Just picked up yesterday in Miami. First VC. 2 rubber straps blue and black. Two alligator gray and black. I love it on the bracelet too. Great experience at the boutique.

I've been looking at VC for quite some time and yesteday when I visited their boutique I got the opportunity to try both the Silver dial and Black dial Overseas!

In my books the silver is the winner BUT my friends are all saying I should pick up the black one. I'm torn!

Go with what you like not what your friends like. Is this in a boutique or AD?

Like you, I would pick the grey over the black dial in my honest opinion. Chose the dial that speaks to you.

I chose the silver and have no regrets. I actually chose it over the blue dial. I have matched it with quite a few different straps and the silver face goes with the black straps as well as the blue and all the others I have. I believe it to be the more versatile face and absolutely love it.

Also had a bit of fear that I should have got the black - but after having it now for a few months - silver is the way forward!
