That's a beauty.

Thanks a lot Aaron for posting this. Your little photo is going to cost me a small fortune now. I can't stop looking at this image. :(

'71 6694

Had a '83 6694 blue dial a few days ago, and it felt too new and I wasn't digging the blue, so I traded it in for a '71 black dial.

This is my only non-sports model and it's meant for travel where wearing a grail sub isn't advised.

I'm still getting used to the small size of the 34mm case!

^^Looks good, Hartmann. Doesn't look small. And I think I prefer the black, as well.

I keep wondering where the places are that you are afraid to go while wearing your sports model Rolexes. Ukraine? Darfur? Syria? I wonder, if I were an aid worker in one of those places, or in a war zone, would I wear my tool watch Submariner, or would I leave it home and wear a G-Shock.

Sorry, man, it's a domino effect! How do you think I ended up with it? Through seeing someone else's photo. Now I can't afford to eat for a month. But at least I'll know what time it is.

Don't you just love those silver date wheels??! Such a simple detail that makes a piece feel so much more special from it's modern counterpart!
