Hell no!
You already said the Lv was a bit too green, and you want a green seamaster?

So now the giant Omega boutique in our local mall is now going to be a Ferrari store. Omega nowhere to be found.

Also on a side note this thinking that Rolex no longer wants mall stores is incorrect. The Mayors store just did a multi million dollar buildout and expansion of their Rolex section.

Omega giving up on its store in the 5th largest mall in the country and one of the best watch markets internationally, while Mayors / ROLEX increased their presence there is all one needs to know about the directions that those brands are heading. One is up up and away, the other is lost in the woods without a compass.

Keep the sub, and I’m a big Omega fan.

You’ll regret selling the Sub. Just save up for a dressier watch. Time is on your side.

The short answer is no.

The long answer is also no.

The funny answer is to ask yourself, “what would Archie Luxury do?”

I grew tired of the green bezel, it was just too green for me as a daily.

picking up a new omega sea master aqua terra 41 green dial

You'll regret that move.

Whether the value of your sub is going to go up or down is anybody's guess but you can get an Omega on the Grey BNIB for under retail.

In the end, it's your decision, but I wouldn't do it.

Given the current market, I can understand why you might be considering it.

Don't listen to this guy! The Market is super hot right now. Why not consider selling your 10 year old watch for 2 new watches with an updated movement and power reserve? I'm not sure what I'd do, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be tempted.

Would not trade for the Omegas but, if you want a blue dial DJ41 why not trade for that? A number of trustee sellers here.

While not a trade, I recently sold my 214060 and ended up using the proceeds to by a couple of Omegas. I'm not a flipper or investor or anything, and wasn't really interested in holding on to a watch I didn't really like wearing just because it's kind of hard to get. I wanted to like the sub a lot more than I actually did, it turns out. In any case, I love my new Speedy and Seamaster and really that's all that counts. Get whatever watch you'll actually enjoy wearing.

I’m not a fan of the Submariner, and yet there is still no way I’d do the trade.

I think it’s worth thinking about. However I will tell you that the chances are high that you will miss the refinement the sub has. Omega as nice as they are I find not as comfortable to wear in the long term.

Stay in the Rolex family, swap for a crown you like better, down the road you might regret it.

I'll just pile on. No. Never. Not under any circumstances should you do this trade. You can only wear one watch at a time and one really nice piece beats 2 lesser pieces all day long UNLESS the 2 lesser pieces are extremely desirable and have a combined value significantly greater than the more valuable piece (which would NOT be the case in this situation). Keep the sub. Buy an Omega if you want one. Do not trade.

Rolex > Omega > Tudor.

Do you want quality or quantity?

Sub is such a good watch. An old one that you have history with is even nicer.
