Does anyone else have a copy of the Fortune magazine to confirm it is real?

Yeah that’s a bit weird isn’t it. The event in Munich is the 18th? Maybe it was published online prematurely by mistake. It has the look of an early advertising mockup, no reference number nothing. Doesn’t look usual polished material. Maybe I’m still trying to convince myself it’s not real.. lol.

I highly doubt Patek’s marketing department would make a mistake like that when spending significant money to advertise in a magazine. |

It’s real. I just downloaded the latest issue of Fortune through Apple News and saw it myself.

So it’s a more complicated 5712 for less money?

I don’t like the layout of the 5712 dial, so I’m not surprised that I dislike this layout. However, I think a more simple layout Cubitus may look quite nice. |

There are going to be many versions I think including a date only and a chrono from some things that has been posted previously. The new movement is pretty cool with big date, days, and Moonphase. I’m still not sold on the case. It reminds me of the Bulgari Octo a bit. I would like to see the bracelet version.

Stern doesn’t want PP to become the Nautilus company and pulls SS references, then launches a new model that pulls all the primary design elements from a Nautilus. Pretty funny.

Obviously none of us have seen the Cubitis IRL but from this picture I’d take the design of the Code case any time over this weird Santos clone. |

It took Patek over 20 years to come up with this???
Looks like a very lazy Nautilus knock off. |

Seeing this makes me so happy to have an Aquanaut! It looks like what you get if Bell & Ross bought Patek. It gives me the same reaction I had to the redesigned BMW kidneys.
Having said all that, and seriously, it’s another matter how it will look on the wrist. Maybe with a different colored dial and fewer complications it will look better? I just wish they had fewer callbacks on a totally new line. Nevertheless, who am I kidding? It’s not like the current economy will make any of these available to me at an AD any time soon. |

Well if anything based on the photo, you could definitely see that the rather large strap lug could fit a new strap changing system. Looking at the patent filing it would work - at least that would be a nice improvement over the Nautilus.

Let the market decide. I have little doubt this or whatever else Patek releases next will fare better than the monstrosity that is the Code 11.59.

I wonder if Patek is increasing total output of watches, or if this release will reduce production of other collections/models.

This looks like a Nautilus Offshore, at this point, much prefer code case. My issue with code was OG dial design and branding.

Remind anyone of Gerald Charles watches? That squarish shape… really hope Patek are not actually launching this model, seems to be a mash up of Nautilus and Aquanaut combined apart from the big date
