How or where the photo was taken is irrelevant.

Did your sense of humor fall out of your pocket while you were down there?

It's not unrealistic to expect an OP to stay engaged with a post they created. This includes answering members' questions, providing supporting photos, etc.

You cannot make a post like that without some photos!
The watch groupies on this website are like a Tom Jones concert, they all have their underwear in their hand but no one to throw it at.

Sadly I'm old enough to understand this comment. And, yes, I have gone to (and enjoyed) a Tom Jones concert.

So how'd the watch get so bent up? Cold usually makes things crystalline not flowing. OK, it's a reflection. Are you just planning on showing two watches of the collection?

Au contraire. This is a very friendly forum. But when one posts that he/she has 27 watches but fails to show any pictures of their collection, the members here become very suspect of the statement. You would do well to post at least one pic of most, if not all, of your collection to establish your bona fides.

You would't happen to have been featured in the Rolex publication, "Exploration: Perpetual Spirit" a couple of years ago, would you?

Please post more pic's, and I'm NOT being sarcastic, I really would love to see more! Also, I have found this forum to be very friendly. But to not show your watches after telling us about them is akin to drug dealer telling an addict what he wants and then not showing it to him. Maybe a bad analogy but it was the best I could come up with at the moment. It's been a LONG day!

Funny enough, I knew that earlier today and was thinking about the Galapagos because of this thread.

Finally, the first mention of a Rolex in this thread - surprised it got that far without being moved.

We're getting there...

Speaking for myself I find it very nice that you went to Antartica and I am a big fan of your Patek.

Getting to the South Pole is far more impressive than collecting 14 watches, IMO.

I'm less concerned about the join date discrepancy than I am about his location. He says he's located in Antarctica, but all his IP addresses are located in the UK, one just north of Liverpool, one between Glasgow and Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, and a third north of London. He's been moving around quite a bit in the last couple of days, all in the UK.

Care to explain this, "talktoomuch?"

Maybe his transponder in Antartica has to bounce off different satellites depending on when they orbit in range of his transmitter?
