Pelagos is more comparable to a Seadweller, I think you'd find a good use for both a P39 and a Sub...

I’ve been waiting for two different subs for a while now and ended up getting a BB burgundy with the 5 link bracelet (ironically I had to wait over a month for that too). While I’m still going to buy both the subs if the opportunity presents before year end, I have to say I’m really impressed by Tudor.
I own Rolex, Cartier, Seiko and some fashion brands and hands down this Tudor is my favorite watch. Handsome dial, good weight and size, comfortable bracelet with micro adjustments, awesome lume, METAS. What I’m saying is I really like Tudor’s offerings right now and would have no qualms buying a Pelagos. |

Tudor FXD M25717N-0001 here. It has been exceptional. Runs +0.5 sec/24 hours. Outstanding materials and workmanship. Overall a phenomenal value for the money. Get the Tudor and also wait for the Sub.

I like the p39 and bb54 but not enough to buy one without wishing I just bought a submariner instead. Their releases are getting better every year though, and I think it’s a matter of time before I buy one.

I have owned several Tudor models over the years, both vintage and modern. IMO, they are way overvalued and over priced. I have eyed some of the new BB releases and would consider one but at a fraction of the retail price.

I was wearing my Tudor P39 most of the day today and put my Sub back on after a shower. I love the p39. It actually fits and feels better on the wrist. The quick adjust is better than the Submariner. I like the lightness compared to the sub(106 grams vs 153 and the fully brushed bracelet and case is a plus. Also, the titanium is stronger for scratch resistance. My sub already is beat up on the clasp and the Pelagos is still looking brand new. I feel like the steel on the Rolex is so soft. The sub is always going to be s grail watch, but the Pelagos has it beat if you like titanium and less flashy. For some this is a negative, but for me it’s a plus.
