No idea; not even sure it is a scratch. It could be debris. I do know that it only seems to lose one second every two days which is pretty good for a watch from the early 70s. I would never have noticed it except for the macro lens shot. Ultimately I can tell it is mine by the crossed "E."

Great accuracy. That scratch looks like it goes right through the coronet, though.

Yes, I hadn't noticed. Got out a loop and can definitely see that there was impact to the coronet. Definitely not noticeable without magnification.
