Why call it Rootbeer when Rolex officially calls it Chocolate? Either way, it's stunning!

They make chocolates in Switzerland and have no knowledge of USA root beer.

Agreed, this watch is VERY hard to capture in pics. If photos are not done right, it can easily look like the TT YG 116713....and it's not even close to that. The rose gold is just a very hard color to pick up. I've seen a lot of pics where the watch looks really nice....but even those don't capture the rose gold the way it looks in person. It's really stunning.

Thanks! I did take it. Just a simple iPhone pic, with perfect natural light.

New member here. I want this watch so bad. Any advice for a newbie to either wait for my AD to get it or just pony up the money and get it at DavidSW?

I was also a newbie and I got the watch in 3 months with no prior purchase history.

First thing I had to do was go out of state as I live in a high income, population heavy area and didn't feel like competing with a bunch of other folks.

Went to various ADs in the area I was traveling to on business in September. I flat out told them I was a first-time buyer and that I was serious. They were willing to work with me if I was willing to pay 50% down to be 3rd in line, and that it would be no more than 4-6 months after verifying with their procurement people. I said I had the cash ready to go, paid the deposit and I had the watch the week before Christmas.

Nice, thanks for the advice Seafox. I'm in CA too (Bay Area) and it's slim pickings here at the ADs.

I picked mine up in portland at ben bridge with no purchases prior. I dont think these will be that rare. Being in the bay area doesnt help.

Picked mine up last week. Lovely warmth to it, and it gives me a headache trying to decide between this and the Batman for wear. Maybe Batman during the day, Rootbeer at night?

Saw this photo yesterday of a photographer I admire. I must admit I’ve become more interested in TT as of lately.

Should not be so hard for bay area as well.
Pick up mine at Joe Escobar in Campbell, CA.

Just noticed that the 126711 CHNR has officially fallen below the price of a 126710 BLRO on DavidSW's site.

Yeah I am waiting to see what the prices will be this year after Basel 2019. The Two Tone CHNR will be my next piece for a very long time, so I want to see if the price drops at all for a pre owned one.

It's so hard to get a representative photo of this watch. Looks great in person.

I got mine 5 months ago. At first I didn’t think it would get much wrist time, but I find it hard to take it off. I’ve never been a TT fan, but this piece is just beautiful.

Some great pics here. This one is growing on me, although I do prefer the pics where the brown is showing a darker shade.
