Until recently they had 2 5740Gs listed for £ 195000. It appears they have "moved" one |

Don't ask me how I know, but they only had the 1, it just generates interest, I've been told of someone who put his own Nautilus in a window, to get people into the shop, he was never gonna sell. It |

And same can be said about our beloved car scene too What’s crazy is (and obviously it’s not a style for everyone) a Patek 5960p can be had for 45-55 Now that’s a bargain with a what 97k retail How would anyone cross shop a 5711 with that Beyond my imagination |

I remember when the Panerai PAM 203 was trading above $100K and the 127 was in the $22K range. Tastes change, times change, production volumes change.

The steel 5711 is overpriced at list let alone these grey prices...
Ok going to hide in my bunker now

Idk, I mean how does one define a luxury item that is “priced right”? I’m no economist but it seems that the current market is saying that the 5711 at msrp is underpriced, no? I’m not into art, but I see people paying crazy money for paint spread out on a piece of canvas that probably costs next to nothing to make. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Now I'm no Art expert, but there may be unique pieces that can be tucked away when the eventual economic downturn comes, and reemerge later at higher prices. But no single 5711 is really unique or special vs any another 5711. Plus they'll keep making more and more of them so the supply is essentially endless. When the bubble bursts, the retail and second hand supply will out pace demand and prices will correct. Only matter of time |

I love my 5711 but at these prices it’s getting harder to justify keeping it especially when a 5711 plus 30-40k will get you a 5207. The only issue is when will prices come back down to earth and make it realistic to get one from an AD.

I don't think it will ever be realistic to get one from an AD. Patek knows what they are doing with the 5711/12. I find it hard to believe that production will ever increase to where one would easily be able to find them sitting in a case.

Hello all,
I live in Istanbul,TR, I found a 5711 BNIB and the price is 75k €. The price is just not logical imo and I said pass. Just wanted to let everyone know... These premium prices are making me sick. |

Global economy is booming right now. New millionaires are being minted daily so to drop $75k or whatever that number is is a drop in the bucket if you want just one watch to commemorate your success.
The people that are buying at these are not multi watch collectors and scooping up $500k or watches in a single go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Probably just same sellers putting in a higher price then listing another at a lower price to give the illusion that those are good deals.

I've been informed by reputable (pinch of salt) grey dealers that their 5711A's are struggling to move around the 67-68K USD range. It may seem that is the ceiling, for now at least.

There is a live auction in a watch group on facebook and the current bid for a brand new 5712 is currently at $86.5k and going up.
