Great collection! I would buy that DD config yesterday if it was offered to me.

Thanks. Congrats on your most recent...Snoopy. It was my most recent as well, but unfortunately my first piece I've had to pay over msrp. I just couldn't resist the most recent grey prices. Lol.

I played the game I have been complaining about. I bought a 300 diver for $5,600 to get it but figured it was cheaper than grey and at least I have some equity.

If I decide to get the gold and green Speedy I definitely won’t be buying it there though.

I had a confusing year in 2023 ; I let a friend buy some of mine , He was fed up doing that AD Dance . then I regretted it as is the way with me . I had a very nice end to the year with a Celebration dial for my wife . 70th Anniversary Sub for my youngest ,Then the new White 126500 for myself

…so how has your collection changed in 2023?

2023 was the year of the DD40 for me; picked up a RG Olive and a YG Champagne Stick, each from separate AD’s.

Interesting year of collecting for me - I feel very satisfied with my current collection, and though I’ve got outstanding pieces on my wishlist I’m feeling the urgency I’ve felt over the last few years significantly subsiding. Really like that.

Been a collector (of many things) for much of my life, but am getting to a point where I’m feeling pretty content just sitting back and waiting to see if any of the outstanding pieces make their way to me.

I mean, I AM a serial collector, so this could change at the drop of a hat but it’s been this way for the last 6 months and it’s felt like a very good place to be.

Happy Holidays to all.

Relatively quiet year but I like it like this - added 15510st silver dial and sold my SkyD jubilee blue dia. I also declined 321 Speedmaster.

I have moved away from Rolex and enjoying AP, the balance in the collection has now shifted with 3 APs and 2 Rolexes.

2023 was an odd year for me. In late '22 I sold what I always thought would be my "keeper" (Milgauss Z-Blue), as it had been my favorite watch on the planet for years. Instead, I bought the watch I thought I'd never want to own, a 126610 Sub Date.

I've found it harder to buy/sell confidently, so I've really shied away from new watches in 2023 as well. In previous years, I'd try something like 10-15 watches per year. I'm still working to cull the herd (a few very low cost watches I'm going to sell). I'm keeping my eyes open for 1 more big addition before I settle down for awhile, possibly a Pepsi on Jubilee.

Sold a 5 digit GMT and picked up a Tudor BB54 this year. For 2024 I’m hoping to add a vintage Patek to the collection and consolidate the rest down to 4, maybe 5, pieces.

Consolidated and scaled down in 2023.

Added: Patek Aquanaut (5167a).
Sold: Patek Calatrava (5127G) and an AP Royal Oak (15450).

For 2024, would love to add a new steel, black dial Daytona and a Wimbledon dial DJ.
