Agree, the gold bridge against the dark grey dial is sublime, IMO it makes the watch

Agree on both fronts. I turned down the 16204 for this exact reason. I think the original 15407 movement is perfection :)

Utterly sickening these are already on the grey market, only a few weeks after release.

It’s like a race who can flip fastest.
But I am a little surprised how much more of a premium this commands compared to the 15407.

What’s wrong with selling a watch?

AP basically allocates these off a loyalty program based on previous purchases. Maybe someone is sick of the brand and wants to cash out their loyalty points by selling off. Nothing wrong with that at all lol. AP is a multibillion dollar brand, not some independent watch maker run by 4 guys and a German shepherd.

That's crazy and such a shame. I hope the seller is toast with AP for flipping that 15407ST....

Thousands of people have the "old" 15407 - this is the chance to be the first/only one on the block, for a while. Still stupid.

I'm not sure that is the case here. I would have to imagine, to be allocated a brand new just released openwork, your purchase history is $500k++, most likely closer to a million. At that level, I presume one's networth is substantial, nearing 8 figures to be spending that much at just AP. With that being said, $100k profit on this watch doesn't move the needle for that type of individual and put at risk ruining their entire relationship.

I suspect this was flipped either internationally and or from a JV boutique where AP has less control.
