All special editions, sold-out models, and shipping/customs issues aside, does anybody have a good idea on when the glacier blue Antarctique will arrive at ADs?

We (at least North America) have not yet delivered a Glacier Blue.
I am hoping May, but have nothing confirmed yet. |

What do you say about the bracelet being flimsy? There was some criticism a few pages ago concerning the SEL.

Little bit disappointing to see 1 of the 33 produced already for sale.
https://www.chrono24.com/all/czapek-...id23438210.htm Presumably a flipper, but I suppose they may have bought it with intentions of keeping it and just not enjoyed it as much as they thought. The asking price suggests that the seller likely planned to flip it though. |

Please send the C24 seller this private message, I just did.
If you're not happy with the Czapek, it'd be great if you returned it back to Monochrome so someone who truly wants it could enjoy her. Thanks.

Thanks UniqueMR. We need to get many people to PM the seller.
Everyone reading this should PM the seller :)

I tend to agree with Charger. Once you buy something, you’re free to do with it what you wish. That being said, it is frustrating and I hope that Czapek/Monochrome is able to identify the seller and make sure that they are not able to buy from them in the future. It is well within the consumers right to sell their watch and well within the brands right to choose not to do business with them in the future.

(Deep Sigh) Ok, in a sense yeah, well... i guess ok.
Look, am all for capitalism. Honest capitalism. 100% agree. But it seems obvious to me they had no intention whatsoever of actually wearing it, let alone at least trying it on as it's still sealed. Yes, they can sell it as it is now their property, yet (and here's where i get 'different') the community can also choose to 'push back' and message the seller to send it back to Monochrome. Perhaps i don't at all see this as you guys do with a PM to the seller, and yes my thought process does tend to be 'different' (sometimes for the better, and yeah other times not so much). So yeah, perhaps it is just me, yet IMHO they should send it back to Monochrome so someone who truly wants to wear and enjoy it gets it. jmho

That guy listing the watch above MSRP is actually good for most parties. It is still very unclear what the secondary market dynamics are for Czapek, a brand most watch guys have never even heard of.
In fact, I'd go as far as to say that a 33 piece limited edition watch in 2022 is by nature designed to sell out fast, as it forces people to act fast and it creates buzz/hype. If you're going to blame anyone, I say blame Monochrome for not securing more pieces! Monochrono: faster sell out times, which is good for future collabs (not to mention less risk of carrying EXPENSIVE inventory) Czapek: looks good for the brand and as a result they sell more watches and get more orders. Collectors who got one: good for collectors who aren't losing 50% out the door. Even for collectors who don't intend to sell (short term or long term). Collectors who did not get one: sucks, but there are plenty of other great watches including other awesome variations of the Antarctique. |
