Many thanks, Tom!

And that "throw in" is pure perfection right there - what a pairing!

I spent a lot of time going through TRF and got a ton of help from various posts - so thank you all. I've rarely if ever posted on here but here is my newest addition!

The Platona is my absolute favourite. I struggle to wear anything else for more than a day or so! I should really sell some of the others but I know from previous experience that absence makes the heart grow fonder and price just keep going up.

Not a wanna be and I'm not even sure if I like the watch, but I was visiting the AD and asked to try it on while I was there. People are not lying when they say it is HEAVY!

I tried it on again at the AD yesterday. So my grail. I could pull it off if I consolidated to being a one watch guy but I just don't think I could. It is so amazing.

I struggle to wear my "old" watch once a month. I can't imagine parking this one for long. When I go work out or run or play tennis, I take it off. And when I shower and go to put it back on, it *always* lifts my spirits!

I think it would make a great one and only, but what do I know?

I find the 'ordinary' gold Daytona quite heavy enough. And quite expensive enough too . But platinum is nice.

Agree with these guys. Struggle to wear anything else for more than a few days. Sell your other watches, buy a Platona and start saving again by the time you've pulled together the dough to add a Sub or something you MIGHT be ready for a change. You might not be though...

I can't wait to own this bad boy one day

It's my end of the road grail watch (or at least it is until I get it)

Tried on 3 Platonas at the AD today. I wasn't a huge fan of the standard Platona (not a fan of the brown subdials, but when my sales guy brought this one out, I was in love...

I'm not normally a fan of diamonds, but this one nails it. The baguette diamonds are so subtle and really add a special touch.

My sales guy also brought out this one as a joke:

Yep- the PT with diamond markers is by far my favorite rolex.
