Tried to catch the colors I see every morning sitting in traffic each morning with the day's dawn light. Can't catch it. . .

Cheers, Karl. If Penn Jilette and Chris Moyles can do it, then so can I. I'm sure they have nice watches too... Nice bauble, BTW!

Well, I think that's some amazing dedication and will-power.

Cheers, re the bauble!

I think this is old enough now to be vintage, right? Probably 30 years old but I got it in '87 so I haven't owned it 30 years yet... Just gave it some love with a crusty old bezel assembly.

I've always wanted to collect vintage Submariners, but every year I tell myself, "it's too late to start now."

Finding legitimate original examples left on market have become harder while prices have increased all across the board (imo).

I spent this entire year selling off and consolidating my previous modern collection while casually searching for Submariners still in honest vintage condition. A very time consuming search...

I researched a lot here on the forums and the sticky websites featured - super helpful!

Finally near the end of the year (literally November & December) I got lucky finding the two references I've been after:

- 5513 Meters First Submariner (1967)
- 1680 Red Submariner Mark IV (1972)

The 14060M 2-Liner Submariner (2005) was my first, and I love it to death. This classic reference is what got me hooked!

Here's all three of my Subs together!

Looking back, it's been such an interesting journey researching and filtering through vintage pieces online and in person. Now I always carry my loupe with me... just in case...
