I’m not sure what the difference in uptake between the metals is, and of course one can configure a combination of the two. I don’t know that it matters much value wise but I don’t track these things so I’m probably wrong.

I think the choice is mostly dependent on personal preference as all variants look great. I’ve requested the CO in platinum with grey dial and the CR in all rose gold. That’s because aside from custom dials, I find a full RG Resonance to be just about the most beautiful current FPJ to my eye. The CO looks equally beautiful to me in RG but I chose the platinum and grey to have variation in my collection. The black dials are also stunning, but they’re beyond my reach at the moment.

Agree. I like the "warmth" of full rose gold case + dial and also think this is the most beautiful configuration on a modern Journe.

Did you ask the RQ in 40 or 42?

It never occurred to me that RG is even rarer in terms of production number. It was not until I saw the interview with FP on Wei’s YouTube video then I learned about it and the plausible clause from both of them.

I have always been a white metal guy so RG never crossed my mind. Although I just broke my rule with a partial RG piece.

I asked for both the Optimum and Resonance in 42mm to match my Lune.
42mm wear perfectly on my wrist because of the curved lugs.

40mm is ok too, but I’ll always choose 42 if available. The only one I struggle with at 42 is the vertical tourbillion cause it wears like a hockey puck. :/ Not that it’s a bridge I’m likely to be offered to cross any time soon but I might have to get a tourbillion through the patrimoine route instead of the vertical.

May want to reach out to the boutique you've been working with. 4+ year wait time for ARS2 for existing owners seem long, but that may be the environment we're in

There is no better word for this than perfection.

Found the video in which the RG vs Pt rarity was mentioned:

https://youtu.be/S0LH4TNrGjg?si=vm70uKhEwu9AR2Q5

Same applies to the latest FFC trend. I have only seen Pt version and I believe that the first RG have not been delivered *yet*. (You know who you are )

Not mine but my wife’s first mechanical FPJ. I am not a rose gold person but this one looks so good that I may “borrow” it
