For those of you who currently own a Panerai(s), does it still get much wrist time? I dress mostly smart casual to work, dress shirt and slacks, and I am a bit concerned a PAM would look inappropriate. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I noticed a lot of Panerai fans who also like Rolex tend to have a 42mm Explorer II in their collection. I don't own a Panerai yet, but plan to soon. My problem is I like about 15 of them. I'll narrow it down and own one before long. Absolutely love Panerai. My favorite brand along with Rolex.

Guilty. I have the 564 and 661 carbotech. Also have a 42mm polar and sub-c. Nice to have variety.

Yes I have a Datejust II blue dial, explorer II 42mm Polar as well as my PAM 1312. Love them all and do wear my Panerai every other week, actually now that I think about it, probably more than my DJ2.

The primary reason I joined TRF tonight as both Rolex and PAM make up the bulk of my modest but growing collection. Well strap on the occasional Breitling...

Yep - nearly picked it up at the Breguet boutique in Geneva a few weeks ago but decided to be faithful to my trusted AD here in Melbourne (he's been very good to me over the years) so I'll get it in a few weeks time... here's a pic of me trying it on...it was hard to take it off... (my trusty "travel" watch - EXP II in the background)

cheers

I traded a PAM 359 for a BLNR. I missed my PAM so much I picked up a PAM 233. Panerai and Rolex are both quality watches, although different in their own rights. I feel lucky to have a small collection building up. Now if Panerai can make a 233 with the thickness of a DUE there may be another watch on my horizon.

If you are into sports watches I think you need at least one. Limitless strap choices makes it like you own more than one. I had a PAM 112 and traded for a PAM 176 titanium. Will not sell it as it’s a completely different look.
