I got on the list this past Feb. I'm in no hurry at all and I'm not going grey. I told the SA I will absolutely pounce when I get the call, but it's no rush.

Same story here. Pepsi keeps evading me. Was at my AD over the weekend and they had one on diplay. Texted my SA asking to please sell it to me but they declined lol. Said shortages on the pepsi are due to coloring issues and that 1 individual color dips the bezels…. Not sure I believe that but hopefully we all get our watches soon!

When I picked up my GRNR on Monday, I asked my AD about the Pepsi. He told me that they'd not seen one for about 4 months and that the supply on them was very slow. He went on to say that they even thought it might have been discontinued during the latest releases a few months back and we're surprised to see it still in the line up.

I'm not expecting to see mine any time soon, if at all.

Waited 2 yrs before getting mine! In between, I explored and picked up a variety of brands. Never forced or asked to buy anything else.

Pepsi waiting ?!

Been waiting 3 years this month and counting. I purchased my Sub here and is giving me ZERO hope but is pushing hard for me come in and ‘strengthen my relationship’…. Hence buy shiny things I don’t care to.

Had another AD tell me 6-12 months originally but now coming up on 18 months and now telling me inventory is tight/ Pieces are being allocated above his pay grade.

At the end of the day I have lost hope and not expecting anything. Refusing to go gray. Started looking for something else to scratch the itch but coming up short. May have to find a new hobby.

Why the refusal to buy a product at market value? I spent £15,500 on my BLRO. If I decided to sell it tomorrow I’d get all my money back and maybe even a little more up top.
So what’s the problem with buying grey(?), because the AD didn’t gift me £8000?

Honestly do not think it's worth $20k, nor do I want to be that deep in a watch. Willing to pay MSRP which is what Rolex tells me what I should pay. Of course I remember the days in the not so distant past when you could get a discount.

Understand what market is on these but also understand this number changes with the general audience's mood. Market value on these was over $30k a year ago. Could be $30k again in 12 months, $10k, or somewhere between.

At the end of the day, when I buy a watch, I plan to wear it and very seldomly sell them. Almost consider them children. If I have to pay $20k to a flipper, feel I am just fueling the issue and would rather go elsewhere.

You make a good point on feuling the issue and not wanting to spend so much on a watch, fair enough.

I agree with you. Most people are going to spend more buying other things they mayor may not want just to wait and maybe get the watch they really want.

I believe there are many factors at play here. For one, how much does your AD like you, and how much pull do they have when those hot pieces come in. If your rep is low man on the totem pole, you are SOL. I was fortunate, my rep was pretty much second in command and really liked me. I did also buy a a diamond tennis bracelet for my wife, and one month later, i got the call. This was back in the summer of 2019. Since then, i have been trying to get my father a Pepsi.. or even a batman for that matter.. nada. In the last 4 years, i have not been offered a GMT master since getting my Pepsi back in 2019. I believe Rolex is purposely holding back production of the GMT master to keep up demand. They want you to buy as many precious metal or two tone pieces as possible. Not to mention diamonds. That's going to be the fastest way to the top of their list.

Ouch, what’s your spend history like? I know you won’t want to hear it, but after 4 years of price increases, you may be as well just going grey.

Have it on your wrist vs another potential 4 year wait.

Life is short

This is an issue that I don't see discussed much. Not all sales associates are equal within an organization. Being "in" with the right people at the AD is a huge help, for sure.
