Finally figured out how to post photos! After being in the Rolex business for more than 25+ years, my local dealer lost the line, like many others, December 31. Luckily, right before Christmas, I got the call that my Daytona had come in. I had requested the yellow gold, with the white dial, as a last attempt to get a Daytona, before the store lost the Rolex line. Of course I had been waiting for the green forever, but we figured Rolex might do us a favor, and deliver a white dial. I asked my dad to go with me to pick up my new gold Daytona, because this was going to be a special watch, that was going to sit next to the new gold Daytona, he purchased new in 1980. He handed the watch over to me, early last year. When the owner of the store handed me the box, I opened it, only to see a green dial!!

My SS Daytona with the dark gray Arabic racing dial, red hands, and vintage tan leather straps with beige stitching. Notice the two after-market steel end links that cover the gaps where the straps connect to the case... The leather straps are connected to my original 78490 clasp. So, everything looks pretty sleek.

Yes, it's not a combo that Rolex intended for the SS version, and it does borrow heavily from the WG version, but it's what I like...

Opinions welcome!
