The watch market will pump and dump again. Remember this post in the future.

I like the FIRM bit haha. Yeah until it hasn't sold for a month then we'll see.

What would be your advice? The wait on the BLRO is substantial, especially depending on location. With the drop in prices, it's certainly getting to the point where buying from a grey is cheaper than trying to establish a purchasing history AND waiting.

I'm in the same position but am waiting longer as I still think the market is coming down. But sub $17k... going to be hard to keep waiting.

I agree with your approach, to wait.

Another alternative is to pass on the watch and get something else. That’s my approach. I don’t want to pay over MSRP.

My comment was about how when folks make a purchase and post about it on the forum, the response is to say congrats. That’s preferable that to it turning into a WatchOUT!!! Commentary.

I’m in the same boat as you. On the hunt for a BLRO or BLNR but patiently waiting for the AD call. I keep watching the grey prices drop slowly every week and my “strike price” for buying on the secondary market keeps dropping in unison.

There is a BLRO on oyster on crown and caliber that’s listed at $18,900 but they have a Black Friday sale that brings it down sub $17K. Very tempting but I think I’m gonna wait and see what happens next year.

If prices look cheap on Black Friday, I’d wait until at least the January sales…

I see a lot of bump on the classified that would have sold 3-4 months ago for the same price. No one is buying if they price it high. Just my observation:) it’s like a boat with a small hole it’s just keep going down.hahahahhaah it’s basically like the stock market.lol I also frequent other forum and I noticed the same thing. Be it a boat, firearms, precious stones, cars everything is going down in prices:) I’ve been buying but I should have waited:( even property prices is slowly going down. Might buy a rental in the next year or so:) good luck to all of us:)

Are there sales January? I'm so tempted to finally pull the trigger on 116500ln, but maybe think I should hold out for another month

It’s silly how they advertise its “new condition” when it’s clearly not. You can see very well in those photos all the gunk under the peeling stickers and the green on the case back stickers fading. The seller also has the audacity to say “it’s only been tried on” when asked if it’s unworn. It’s also dated 2018 so makes it even less likely that’s it’s genuinely ”new”. This particular example is a straight turd.

ill still take it at that price compare to a new one with no stickers at all priced at 50k. i could careless if its 2018, its still under warranty. the amount of savings and stickers is well priced. its tried on sure but still has stickers which prevent it from getting scratch.

I know, I’m just saying your previous post didn’t paint the whole picture. Most would assume “NIB” is dated recently. Your post didn’t specify and could’ve been easily misinterpreted. Remaining length of warranty also makes a difference in price.

For a true NIB, price is $50.5k - 52.5k currently.

We all know the market is correcting hard, but if you’re going to post price updates you want to make sure it’s accurate especially for those who don’t have access to these wholesale/dealer posts.

Thank you psm!

Still on the holding pattern... There's one on this forum advertised with a small dent initially for 43 now it's sitting at 33k

May wait until we hit the 20s and then strike... Another 20% drop after the holidays seems more than likely

A few recent RO listings:

- 15400 blue dial w/ papers: 39.9k (sitting)
- 15500 naked -2 links: 31k (sitting)
- 15300 naked -2 links: 26.2k (sitting)
- 15500 blue dial mint full set 43.5k (sold)
- 15500 blue dial mint with papers 45.5k (sitting)
- 15400 no box no papers 25k (sold)
- 15500 mint full set 35k (sold, maybe for lower. Unclear)

This tells a very clear story in terms of where prices have been heading. It’s just a matter of time before new refs are in the 20s again (around or below retail… where they have always been minus the last 2 years).

God I hope you are right lol! Would be a happy man if I can get my Panda 26331 in the high $20ks or even low $30ks.
