Sub for me today. Was under supervision at the watchmakers all last week, but as expected, she behaved well!

First in line at the DMV. Unfortunately, they do not open for 16 more minutes.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date

Hello all! I am new to the forums and looking forward to sharing and learning more. I wanted to share my most recent pickup. My 1984 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date "Golden Egg" ref. 15505. As the gold plating was a little rough on the bracelet, I decided to go with a genuine lizard band. I have it pictured next to my Datejust and a photo from this afternoon at the store. I'm very excited about this older piece and have really loved the smaller case size option. I debated for a while whether I should get a simple older Oyster Perpetual or one that had the date. I finally concluded that the cyclops is such an identifying factor in a Rolex that I had to go with the Date. I think I made a good decision as it is winning wrist time over everything else right now!

Thanks - it's a standard brown NATO, from Germany, I think. I cut the second pass under the watch, off, as I find them too bulky with the leather ones.

I wasn't sure if I would like a black insert on a vintage 1675, but this FF may be a Pepsi killer!!!
