Hi, Kabayans, this is my first post. I live in NYC, but was born in Misamis but lived and studied in Manila. I lived in Ortigas and studied at La Salle.

I don't have a Rolex yet :( But I am planning to buy one very soon. That is the good thing about NYC; it has several ADs in addition to the Rolex store and RSC.

I'm not trying to start another Sub vs GMT thread here, but I'm planning to buy either the GMT IIc SS or TT (1st choice); Sub SS (2nd choice). I was originally planning to buy a YM midsize platty until I went to the Rolex store and tried all three. I immediately rejected midsize as an option; it looked puny in comparison to the full size. The Sub has the classic alright, but my eyes were riveted to the ceramics bezel of GMT IIc. The TT is awe-inspiring, but a bit too flashy, so I might settle (happily) for the SS.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

dude, firstly, welcome to the forum.

A lot of people would say, buy the watch that smiles at you. That's a common dilemma here, GMT vs SUB. My buddy bought the GMT, I bought the SUB. The GMT, though a bit more expensive has the updated clasp and like you said, the ceramic bezel. Ako, I liked the SUB because of the classic look, and I didn't like the polished centre links, for an everyday watch. I know I'd scratch it up really easy. But in the end, shempre its up to you. In a perfect world (where Ateneans and Lasallites get along and sing kumbaya on UAAP games), mas ok kung kaya mo bilin mo pareho. hahaha!
