I'd go lotus but I'm biased. Don't think you can get the all gold for 120 anymore, though.

I think one's first RM should be an 11 if you can handle the size. It is arguably their signature piece and is about to be replaced so move quickly. JMHO. The 35 and 55 are great but I just prefer watches with complications. Psychologically it just feels like you are getting a lot more watch for your money. Of course I appreciate many don't care about that!

Thanks Roger for the feedback.
For an active lifestyle and durability wouldn't the RM 35 and 55 be a bit better. Scratch proof especially. Also my wrists are small and I don't really need a chrono. But love the 11, be nice having both, but that is not possible yet. |

Can't go wrong with an 11......go with a NTPT or carbon if scratches are an issue.

Bryant, I agree with Roger 011 is THE RM, the signature piece and I always say after so many models, 80+ limited editions of 011, at the end of the day when i think about RM I visualize the Ti 011.
The question is, are you able to handle the size and do you feel comfortable wearing one... you can see pics below with silicon nitrid 011 on my 6.6-6.7' wrist, and consider the height is the main problem to handle... below is the pic of 055 and it wears and fit perfectly... The Nadal is the only non complicated RM model I like in NTPT, and considering you want and all day beater watch I will choose between 035-01, all gray 055 and black 055... |

Very nice Edo, I love those pics!
Never thought I would like an all white watch, but that is just stunning. I have to say I still like the RM 35-01 and 55 a tad more than the RM 11, even thought the 11 its the flagship RM. RM 35-01 overall is current favorite for my budget. Or I should say, my budget in 3-6 months of kicking butt in sales...lol Going to boutique as soon as they get one in to try. Thanks for sharing your RM wisdom. |

Consider 055 white as well, you can probably find a preowned like new one for around 85k and get tons of velcro strap to match ... black yellow red orange grey even green all looks great with 055 white.

I tried a 011 and it was too thick for me, never saw 055/035 I think I might prefer them much more

Lotus is great choice, RM with modern materials and red racing accents, but there is people that dislike pretty big Lotus branding on the watch...
I would choose Black Phantom, it's monochrome so it works really good with any strap color. I'm not into white watches, but in your collection and the fact that's not your first RM, I will also consider White Ghost nad St. Tropez... |

For my wrists I am liking RM 35-01 and a white or black 55.
Saw someone on TRF selling lightly worn white 55 for $83K. Roadtrip to Boutique soon Let the savings begin and the spending end for a while... & I love that Black Phantom and White Ghost |

What do you guys think? The white 55 is really growing on me.
Someone on TRF within driving distance of me so I can meet in person. Here is description. --- This is a like new in box Richard Mille RM055 Bubba Watson. Watch comes with all boxes and papers and plastic covering for watch. Warranty papers are stamped October 2015. Watch comes with original white strap and with black strap. Current price is $83K, I am offering $80K (which is currently my absolute limit). 2016-07-26_16-07-13.jpg image-1.jpg |

I can't speak about the price, I absolutely have no idea if it's right or not. The watch is fantastic and, as other collector have said, be sure that it comes with everything, especially all paperwork is a real must for the servicing.
It looks very good with the black strap. |

Black one will be a safer pick in a collections of 3 watches, but with your collection adding an all white RM will be great... perfect summer/sport watch, and due to color it works great with every strap...

Going to try on the white 55 soon (pictured in previous post). As long as it looks and feels good, I am going to get it. $80K seems like a good price, I really looked around and could not find anything better (in the U.S). And it's an added plus that the watch is close by. I am finally feeling like my first RM is within reach |

My philosophy is not to miss out on something you love over percentage points, but I think - and conkers and Tex are more knowledgeable - that 78 is the number you want to hit for this piece. Still, it's 2.5% and if the extra 2k won't effect your lifestyle or enjoyment of the watch, I say go for it. You can't always hit the best possible price on every piece.

Hey Guys, I am checking out the white RM055 in Tampa today (pictured in my previous post).
Should have some pics to share on the wrist. No purchase today as he doesn't have box and papers, but I should know by tonight whether I want it or not. The price is right. Also this is the 2000th post in this thread! |

^^^ We'll see..
Here are some quick parking lot pics... Sorry we were both a little in a hurry, but I am so glad I could try it on and see this beauty in the flesh. I only had it on my wrist for 10 minutes, but I can confidently say its the most comfortable watch I have put on my wrist, not to mention jaw-dropping gorgeous. The way the back of the case curves to fit the wrist is sublime. Here are four quick pics... 2016-07-31_19-13-24.jpg 2016-07-31_19-13-02.jpg 2016-07-31_19-19-19.jpg 2016-07-31_19-11-23.jpg |

Lotus logo below 12 :)... it doesn't bother me but there is people that doesn't like that... Hublot always do this with their limited editions - put bigger logo or sign of the "sponsor" than their own. Contrary, AP just put some little details (like Schumi champion stars, Barichello chrono hand colors in Brasil colors, Shaq 3-2, Ginza 7 diamond etc....) and before looking the caseback you have not idea which brand ambassador/cause it's referred to....

As a Patek collector I have steered far away from watches that don't hold their value well come resale time. However I have long loved the look and feel of an RM on my wrist. The lightweight and case shape is perfect for a small, bony 6.25" wrist that most watches can't sit right on (they all tend to sit above the bone and not flat). I was in Vegas this weekend and stopped by the Boutique. The first piece I saw was the RM35-01. I tried it on. WOW is all I have to say. Fit better than ALL my Pateks and felt absolutely perfect for me. I was ear to ear smile but then as I left I started to think about resale. Do I really want to pay 90-100k and then come a year or two from now when I get bored of it sell for 50-60k to a grey dealer. The thought of that just absolutely kills me. RM makes so many versions of the same reference that it scares me to pull the trigger. 80 versions of an 11 YIKES! What should I do? What are the experts thoughts on the specific piece 35-01 in terms of pieces produced, being discontinued, resale value etc. Feel free to PM me privately if you don't want to respond here. Thanks RM fanatics!

There are many more knowledgeable RM people here than me, but recently I have spent a lot of time really looking through Chrono 24, ebay, TRF and many other online sellers of RM watches and it seems that the RM11 and RM35-01(especially) hold their value VERY well. The 55 I am looking at not quite as well, but if bought correct, it should be fine too. |
