Everything else is AD, even monobrand as they are run with partners.

The latter is not being dropped anytime soon.

Boutique is corporate owned. AD are all dealers selling numerous brands. Again, they are “authorized dealers “ to sell the brand. Not gray market. Those are being dropped. I have heard this from many dealers that used to carry the brand.

ADs also operate Monobrand stores, those are not going away.

Very nice! I quite like the bracelet on it and wear that quite a bit. Find it very comfortable. Don’t see it getting much love on here though.

Wow pretty heavy entry to the club. Do you have any other sport watches (although not sure if this fully classifies as a sport watch)? How does this compare?

In my book this is really the frontier of the OS series, you get the nice design, exchangeable straps and the extremely thin case. Basically beating the competition on several points..

Thank you. I agree this leaves
the competition behind. I can’t believe how thin it is. What an amazing watch! And I only realized now that my photo was a bit blurred. So here’s another one

I'd say that qualifies as "one of not many." Congrats!

What is the wait time for new 4500V Blue orders? I hear 5 years and I'm amazed by the aftermarket prices and wonder if they will continue to climb. Its pretty amazing!

I can't quite understand how anyone knows the actual time frame when they stopped taking orders in most countries back in March.

Reports on waitlists for the blue are all over the place. Some say 2-3, others say 5 years. I was told in the Paris boutique (Lafayette) 6-8 years and that was 3 weeks ago. I don’t believe these extremely long lead times - seems impossible to predict if you ask me.

Agree. I was simply told from the NY boutique (in April) that the blue is "not available" for purchase at this time. I am sure 100s if not 1000s of people have been told the same thing over the last 6 months. If the line was truly allowed to queue, you'd probably be at 20 years. So 2-3, 5, or whatever it may be just can't be an accurate number.

If anyone is truly interested in the blue and you aren't a special customer, just pretend it is discontinued and look preowned :)

My point was simply that even if it was 3-5 years for "top spenders" it is not really 3-5 because it would be 10x longer (random number for argument's sake) if any random person could get on the list right now. My point is, it is just kind of an irrelevant number since to the extent it is available, the number of years isn't even applicable to normal people.

Hi guys, my apologies for dropping this question in this thread but I have nowhere else to turn and just wondering if any owners have experienced this.

Looking at a 47040 to buy but it's missing a tiny cap on the case. Please see on top of 12 o'clock.

Does anyone have any idea if that part would be replaceable or would the case have to be replaced.

Many thanks in advance for all your help and input.

Cheers! IMG_20211117_135541.jpg

As long as it’s significantly cheaper than a blue nautilus or blue royal oak, people who are looking there will see value in a blue overseas so prices will continue to climb is my guess. If gets to within a $5k delta of a royal oak, then people may say eff it and get the RO and prices stall out but it has a ways to go.

Coupled with the fact that VC doesn’t produce many of these (and not that many watches in general compared to PP and AP) and the it’s easy to see wait lists get quickly pushed out to several years.

We’re in a weird world for watch collecting…

Just had a thought, has anyone so far in this thread posted a VCO Gen3 World timer?

It must be an extremely rare watch given how rarely there is a photo online of it. Is there a waiting time on that watch?

I see 5 watches on Chrono24 and one of them in red.

At 43.5mm it's a massive watch and looks even larger when on the bracelet. I tried one on at my local boutique and didn't bother taking a photo as it looked comically large on me. Beautiful watch otherwise.

I can't comment on wait times. If you have enough wrist to pull off the look then it's worth inquiring.

Chrono is perfect size for me, so I guess I could pull it off, barely. Problem for me is rather I don't really like the design.

Just noticed your post asking about the missing piece near the bezel. Vacheron service should be able to replace just that part. Call your nearest boutique or AD and they should be able to help.

Much appreciated, I already made the calls but got the classic 'we need to send the watch in' answer.

I guess my worry was that the piece was welded and then a whole new case would be necessary.

Let's hope it's just a spare part.
