Well since I own the DJ41 blue stick, jubilee, fluted, I’ll say that one is my favorite.

First post on this Forum.

I put down an order for Blue Face DJ Fluted Jubilee last month.

This will be my first Rolex and a present to myself for the last couple of years of hard work.

It should be with me in the next few weeks and I’m very excited after seeing others with the same spec.

It does seem to be quite a popular watch colour combination as of recently.

My 126300 combination, just love it, such a great watch and so comfortable on the wrist. However at the moment it is benched as my new 124060 is getting the vast majority of wrist time.

IMO the DJ is the classic watch of reference, with the silver dial being the most classic and timeless option.

I've owned a lot of DJs in my time but this tropical blue to purple 16030 is the keeper.

Oldie but goodie.
Houndstooth dial.
Never have seen another one in person and I have only seen a few pictures of these. My indie said in his 40 years he has never seen this dial in person.
Some have said that Houndstooth is so 80s...but I still think it is an awesome dial.

I would LOVE to see them bring back the houndstooth dial!

Thank you very much. I had it in blue first which was gorgeous but only in the right lighting, otherwise it looked black too me so I decided that the silver was a very vibrant, classic look and I couldn't go wrong with it.

I enjoy this more than any other Rolex I've owned and it could definitely be my one and only watch. As you can see in my signature I'm waiting for a 124060 and if I get it I get it, if I don't, I don't even care, that's how satisfied I am with the silver DJ41.

I'm really enjoying the increased DateJust interest lately. This thread is great as it is really showing the DJ in all of it's forms through the years. I really like seeing the newer pieces and am digging the blue dial currently as well as the newest green dial.
Here's my 16030 in its past and present configuration. It originally came with a silver stick dial (unfortunately no pics of it). I've changed the dial three times in the 28 years I've had it. I like the classic look of it now, but may go back to the Tapestry at the next service.

Quite possibly the most classy Datejust configurations out there. With the hidden clasp of course ;-)
