Mine got delivered a few mins ago. Will open it later…as I need sleep now as working tonight.

Production quantities are estimates based figures from Rolex archives

New official Rolex History of Submariner book.

Great that some people are getting their copies already! Looking forward to get mine and see how many 16610 Subs were produced. (don’t mind if someone shares the data in the meantime).

I wonder how come there are Sea Dwellers listed as well in the book about Submariner?

116600 SD4000 production of 27,102 watches in three years production

SD43 115,308 over 7 years

This gives us an average of SD43 Mk1 production of 16,000

I could swear I saw a screenshot of a page in that format that included the 116600 but I can not say where I saw it. I remember a total production number of 27,XXX and this stuck with me because I’m wearing one.

Thank you, I assume that is somewhere within the book?

Mine arrived, and looks/feels great! Nice heavy pages, good photos, etc.....

It is sad that they did not include the 168000 in the breakdown, but I guess they just lumped them in with the 81K or so 16800s.. oh well, can't win em all!

I don't know either, but based on other books I have bought over the years here is my guess:

- some books have a binding cover that is blank, with only a removable paper 'jacket' to identify, which gets torn up easily.

- other books have the same type of binding as this silk sub book has, with the name a permanent part of the cover; no removable paper 'jacket.

Sad if it's not in there, as that's kind of a milestone reference, and one whose production number would be among the most interesting to know.

116619LB Smurf only 13,630

DEEPSEA 116660 123,588 who would have thought the high number considering the size

it's not high at all, considering it's been produced from 2008 to 2018
