I don't understand how can they can make money if they sell it below MSRP?????

I don't think the boutique/AD will sell them less than MSRP because there are many people are waiting to buy from them.

Some buyers bought thinking they can make money/flip. But to their horror they are actually making a loss

Who would want to buy a Rolex unless you can make money on it?

Lol, I buy to keep and enjoy wearing them for a long long time.

I invest my money in stock market for a long term also.

Maybe it's actually becoming like a normal market where used items tend to be LOWER in price.

I suspect speculators now realize it's a falling knife and some get out with a bit of a loss rather than a 15k loss in 3 months...

Yes same sentiments. Slowly but surely the secondary market is going back to its normal state. Matter of time before the situation at ADs will become like before. Completely makes no sense for a massed produced item to have no stock when there is no longer any or much monetary benefits of buying one. We have become a laughing stock spending money to beg ADs for a mass produced watch. Complete joke lol.

As posted before my SA is leaving for a job in another industry so I probably will have to go to another one. Any allocation is welcomed but if there is none then so be it. I don’t really care and will not buy anything that I don’t wish to.

On a flight… does someone mind summarizing?

Interestingly enough CRM is one of those that keeps it relatively straight (of course slight bias they want you to buy). They are having somewhat of a fire sale in their private group chat, and the desperation is pretty clear. Meteorite white gold Daytona $45k for example.

The best is WatchEric. Really a straight shooter with no BS. Only “influencer” that I’m a fan of.

CRM talk a lot of nonsense. Always how he’s losing money but never mentions all the money he’s made. Trust me, they’re still making plenty on consignment models and move most stock before agreeing to purchase now. Don’t believe what you see on YouTube. They show what they want you to believe….

Watch Eric took some getting used to for me but I'm now on board and enjoy his talks.

CRM just reminds me of a bunch of Gipsies giving it a go. I can't gel with them so I don't watch.

Yeah I don’t watch any CRM lol. No substance in the videos but that’s vlogging nowadays.

To create relationship with ad. Probably ad told him to buy this watch and you will get a sub or gmt soon.

My favorite 26420 with a ding is back on FS on this forum for $33k. Thinking below 30 is my price at this point

W.r.t RG Olive DD.

Sitting at 49.5k on Moda.

Nashville Watch has a '22 unworn at 52.9k. was discounted $700 for Black Friday. Not moving.

It's absurd how fast the hype for this reference deflated.

I suspect flippers are passing on such pieces now since the retail price is so high. Flipping a steel piece for 10% is a move most can swing without thinking. But a 40k piece will have you second guessing.

Kinda wild. That "used" to be a 80-85k watch. But then again there are soooo very many that have taken a massive nose dive. As mainly a PM wearer it does make buying a new piece interesting. A few are cheaper than the A D route. Mainy DayDates but the 126715 and 126619 can also be found with good deals to be had. Probably more but those are the 3 that come to mind

All Rolexes are easy to sell at all ADs, no need to bundle nowadays.

So you’re saying you can walk in and get any stainless steel Rolex Daytona, GMT or skydweller no problem? That would be completely false.
Also, when you say all rolexes, you would be referring to rainbows and platinum’s. Try walking in and easily getting a rainbow or SARU.

I think Benzsiam's purchase history and spend with the AD (and therefore his experience / customer care level) is not representative of the general majority of folks on this forum. Neither is his watch collection...

its not a bundle. its more of a purchase history to get ahead of the line for the gmt or sub. and probably the SA made it sweet lying to him told him/her that she/he will get what he wants soon. the bigger spender you are the more vip you get.

I know many folks here enjoy closely following and projecting watch price trends. I used to do that for the stock market but abandoned it before I lost all my money!! I would, however, give some credence to anyone who correctly forecasted that, during the peak COVID pandemic, economies, stock markets and watch prices would go up sharply.

think he meant that in the last 2 years or so even gold models were flying off the shelves so you didn't need to force bundles anymore like they did in 2018ish. in the last 2 years there was no reason to promise a steel model to get people to buy a gold model that has a wait list anyway. hence the "all rolexes are easy to sell" not "buy" lol (i assume)
