tol, we have tons of rich people back home. the problem is there are more poor people than the rich ones. and the gap between the two is pretty far.

Yes, chenx15 is correct... it is not that there is no one rich here... the rich are really rich, and the poor are really poor.

Yesterday i went to greenbelt looking for shoes(an outlet of Sledgers), I saw 2 chinese looking filipino in their early 40s fitting a business kinda shoe, both of them in rolex all TTs, Daytona and DD. I then proceeded to the newly opened outlets of high-end watches (at JLC), a not so young guy(late 20s 0r early 30s) just picked up his Limited Edition Master Compressor Extreme Chrono in Platinum only 950 made worlwide, about Php450-500K. A personal observation; Not to put down our kababayans but people in general tend to identify rolex or omega pretty quick as an expensive watch(for the rich). But not too many have an idea about Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Girard Perregaux, Audermars Piguet, JLC, A Longe & Sohne, and many more high end watches with price ranges at US$ 5,000 to a whooping $200,000 a piece. |

True, very true. Pareng Oscar is already head over heels mad over Canada because of an @$$ from another thread but i have to say this. in Canada the Poor are very powerful. we are a democratic country with a socialist idealism. it's pretty amazing.

Lucky you, having 4 of the"it" watch(then). And now you're going more than a step further, wow a Patek or AP Royal Oak , fine timepieces Pareng Chenx15, I envy your stature. If only I get the opportunity of living there(impossible at this time). How life could have been. Here, it's still the hard way |

quoted from chenx15;873152]filipino politicians can all go to hell!(I hope not, my father-in-law is a politician btw, he's wearing a seiko diver) the last great Filipino President was Ramon Magsaysay( I agree 101%) then maybe Ninoy Aquino(was not able to make it to the Presidency, though he was a Senator, do you think he's in heaven??).

we really don't need medical insurance (except pharma needs) we have a universal health care system. so anything medical is free but if you're poor then everything is free, pharma, housing, education as in free plus government welfare benefits.. and medicare namin is not really free kasi mataas ang tax! 14%! mga pare ko if you can drop by toronto let me know. i'll show you guys around!
Pareng Oscar. when i go to florida i'll let you know! balak ko magmagcruise sa april |
