No, this new version of the marinemaster has a few upgrades. One is ceramic bezel instead of the DLC coated metal. Also, anti glare on the inside of the crystal, and a sapphire crystal instead of Hardlex. Overall it’s a very nice successor to the MM.

My recently acquired and ultra rare 6105-8110 with DVDP1973 factory signed dial. Apparently one hundred of these 6105’s were made (never sold) for the Japanese government, who gifted them to a select group of scientists working on the Dry Valley Drilling Project (DVDP) in Antarctica in 1973.
