I haven’t been paying close enough attention, when did the time only overseas go up to 22.5k USD at retail?

Hi all,

I have owned this for about a year now. Wrist size is 16.25cm and this wears abit big. It's a great watch nonetheless. Wonder if anyone else with about the same wrist size as me feels the same?

I think it looks great on you. I also find it very refreshing to see the 4500 in black on the forum and elsewhere. The blue is beautiful but IMO (biased) a bit overhyped.

I had read somewhere that 4500Vs are now coming with "ostrich" straps rather than the alligator ones. Does anyone know this to be the case for certain, or is the practice region specific (where some areas might prohibit sale of an alligator-skinned strap)?

I suppose I may have answered my own question by visiting the official site. all of the pictures for the overseas line seem to show a leather interchangeable strap of a "non-alligator" variety. whether it's ostrich or another animal that's clearly not an alligator.. is a bit unclear...

I wonder what motivated the change; aesthetically, the gator seemed superior. aside from regulatory restrictions, maybe cost reasons...

Yes, I bought mine 4500V Blue last month, this already ostrich and no alligator provide
Bu the way, the sales said I can still order a new alligator that cost HKD3500

Thanks.. my guess is that it's cost related. As hkd 3500 / usd 450 is a decent after-sales revenue opportunity..!

It does look a little big in my opinion. But it’s not too unruly. Please let me know if you decide to move it along

You should probably go for the 37mm instead:

I have a 16cm wrist but mine seems to look just fine. Maybe cuz my wrist is more flat. The rubber strap should feel more easy to wear for smaller wrists

What a stunner! Congratulations. I don’t think I’ve see one in the wild yet.Looks great on orange strap, I wouldn’t have thought of trying that as it looks so perfect on the bracelet and calf skin strap.

Congrats again on a truly amazing watch.

This watch deserves its own thread lol.

Any observations thus far? I really enjoyed the short time I had to play with it.

Picked up my overseas today (pics to come later), apparently prices are going up again in October in some countries including mine, so I was really lucky to get it before another increase!

Funny how all these brands keep on increasing prices while the grey is crashing.
They might meet sooner than we think and then it's going to be a very different mood music in the "salons"

Not saying it's good or bad... But this industry is very bad at reacting to change as we have seen...

Yea. For VC it just seems like it's the Overseas getting the price increase. Also the Sales Associate said in 10 years of working at the company she had never seen such increases in short spaces of times and that because of it they are no longer asking for deposits for orders when they become available.

Yeah agreed

I bought my overseas in 2017.
Vacheron's initial strategy was to raise very sharply prices in 2016 when they introduced the new Overseas line but then they kept them constant for 3-4 years. Unlike PP or AP that would increases prices by 5% once or even twice a year.
But it's no longer the case now...

Thank you.
I absolutely love it. Light weight, well executed, beautiful to look at. Easily my favourite VC. The titanium has unique shimmer as well.

Small thing I just noticed, but the box that my overseas came in has slots to hold 2 watches if you flip it over. First time I had seen this and is actually quite handy.
