Journe - Automatique vs Lune

Wanted to get your thoughts on which of these two do you prefer. Other than the additional complication and dial/font layout slight change, I don’t see much difference. Am I missing something? Just don’t understand why the collection has two different models that are so closely similar.

I think your observation is correct. Not much difference other than the complication. Personally, I prefer having the moonphase and have the Lune on my wishlist at the boutique. When I will actually get to own one is another story unfortunately....

Consider this. How many brands have time only and time plus date and moonphase? Would say it’s no different.

Yeah, the Lune is more "romantic" and there is more visual interest. Both great watches, but given a choice I'd go for the Lune.

I prefer the Lune. I’m a big fan of moonphase complications. I also find that it fills up the dial nicely. I should be getting mine any day now!

It's also printed vs applied numerals. I'd love to have both but think the Automatique is just such pure Journe. AN gets my vote.

In my opinion FPJ has the most attractive moon phase since the release version 2. Out of both watches, I would take the Lune

My vote went Lune. Really looking forward to collecting mine this year, it's been a long wait!

Your boutique must love you to give you such a rare one. Years ago one can specify reverse dial but now it is all by luck?

I requested this specific configuration and they didn’t make it seem like it would be any harder to get. I believe you can still request the reverse dials, and if you get an allocation, they will configure it that way for you.

This is my understanding as well. They told me I could request this combination and I was surprised as well as it is not in the catalogue but is really stunning in person. It did not seem like it was necessarily a special request.

Seems I am not the only one who has been granted their wish. For me, the Salomon dial contrasted by the starkness of the platinum case is drop dead gorgeous.

oh man, i'll keep that in mind. I've always prefered the salmon dial, but I prefer platinum over rose gold. I ended up asking for the Elegante as first choice, and rose gold Lume as 2nd option. I doubt I'll ever even get a chance of the 2nd watch, so too bad.
