Where/how do we ask for Mod help?
Trying to post and or respond in the classified section, I rejoined as a pledge member - wondering if its something else.

It’s weirdly not letting me send this guy a PM. Also, I tried to hit him up on a different post and he has only posted for sale for like the past six years not a single single other post.

Also, I’m trying to do this from Tapatalk on my iPhone and I don’t see a little yellow triangle ::

That is not really correct.

The answer is that within ones usercp and option settings, one can manually disable receiving messages from other members. This is what has likely been activated which explains why a message cannot be sent.

Thank you. Can anyone explain why a guy has had an account here for 10 years has a posting history of just things for sale maybe 50 posts and not a single comment and has his messages turned off? I also can’t find him in the who’s who

Personally I’d be wary of buying anything from that description. Too many other trusted sellers here for worry free transactions.

We wish we could see into the hearts of sellers and members!!

Some sellers only use the Forum as another spot to sell something and little else. We reluctantly let them stay as a service to members who might be interested.

These types likely have so many other sales-spots that they do not maintain their presence on TRF. If their mailbox is full, or they have turned it off as mentioned, your pm will not get through.

Thank you. I naively assume that everyone selling here is a "trusted" seller of sorts and this guy is in my city and would have been happy to meet him but he doesn't seem to want to be found. An old website link leads to a dead URL, and there is an incentive for cash or wire with a very low price....im happy to PM a mod a name if that sort of profile raises eyebrows. This watch isnt listed anywhere else

I am not reporting a post but something doesn't seem to be working with my outbound messages. Don't use the triangle just to ask questions, that's not how it works. The triangle gives us access to the poster you are reporting - we cannot respond to you that way.

As to pm's.

Check your own user settings and make sure you have checked to save your pm messages.

If you think the seller is sketchy, it probably is.

No, sellers on TRF are not "trusted sellers", there is no such thing. We have had long time sellers go rogue and some are subject to scam take-overs. Make sure that you are comfortable with whom you are dealing, all TRF can do is bring sellers and buyers together on a common platform, we cannot police them.

Thank you this time it’s normal people. One confirmed she received all of my messages, but they don’t show up in my sent.

It has limited storage and I’ve cleared it a couple times but maybe it’s just a glitch

The guy that I actually couldn’t reach I believe is sketchy because I don’t see any of his activity now
