Which rolex sparked your passion for the brand?

When i was younger i always dreamed of owning a 16613 blue face, It was the watched that said it all...
Please share the model that caught your eye, which prompted you to own a rolex.

I had a friend that had a Sub, tons of Subs in my area growing up.
I fell in love with the SD.
My first Rolex was a SS DJ, several years later I bought a SD :)

The blue 16613 was my first but the black dial Explorer 2 is what sparked my interest.

James Bond's Submariner did it for me, never had the money though. Now at 55 I finally quit messin around with rolex-like watches and pulled the trigger on my first Rolex, a brand new TT ceramic sub, thanks for asking, Mike.

Really all the SS sport models and the history behind them, the rest have never done anything for me.

Another one for the 16613 Bluesy

Loved that watch ever since I was a kid... and this week, some 30 years later, I finally got one

I always admired the classic design of the datejust.. I remember being about 13-14 and going into a AD and falling in love right then and there with a DJ. Took many years before I actually had one though..

Maybe it's my age but I have admired the datejust for a long time. It was my first Rolex and when I wear my SS with the Jubilee bracelet and the white gold bezel I have trouble taking my eyes off of it.

An IP in advanced combat skills had a GMT and I set a goal to be better than him and have a GMT. Funny thing is that I was wearing a pretty cool Speedmaster I had picked up at the PX and felt it was a placeholder till I got a GMT. My wife wears the Speedy 20 years later with no service and calls it her boyfriend watch.

20+ years ago, after wearing a slew of fakes and knock-offs, I knew which one I was going for, just had to come up with the fundage:

The ol' gal still looks good for her age and mileage, but she doesn't get out like she used to.
