I know this subject has been beaten to death, but let's take another wack at it shall we....I swim with my 16600 Sea Dweller all the time......But my Rail Dial 1665???
Even though it was serviced by Rolex less then a year ago, I have a hard time justifying taking it for a "dip"....
Am I just a sissy boy????

Any vintage that has been recently serviced or pressure checked should perform to the same standards that were in affect when it was produced...

But, of course, for rare or difficult to find exotics, your potential loss in the case of misadventure can climb dramatically...............

Well my 16030 Datejust from 1984 (owned and serviced on a regular basis since new) still goes under water on a regular basis. Last month I had to dive here at work and it came with me to around 50' down. I have never given it a second thought - I've always taken my watch under....

as Larry says, if serviced it should be as good as new.

As long as it has been recently serviced, I would have no problem swimming with it.

Unless its been recently pressure tested I wouldn't do it.

I stay clear of wearing vintage in water but thats just me,reality says that if the watch has been "properly" serviced and pressure tested there should be no problems.

Clay, with a recent RSC service you will be fine. I do understand and share your concern with a vintage piece of this nature. I have some I'm ok with and others I'm very careful about.

Such is the way with WISers.
