Is it possible to convert a vintage rivet bracelet with flat end links to 20mm?
I am very interested in the gold BB58 but only with a matching gold bracelet. There are plenty of old gold rivet bands out there but basically zero support 20mm. Is there a way to fit an old solid gold rivet bracelet on a 20mm lug-width in a stationary fashion, such that the bracelet doesn't play ping-pong with the lugs? Some kind of special end link or spring bar? Thanks.

Can you show a photo of the type of bracelet you are referring to?

Either modify an exisiting end link or use straight endlinks. A good gold smith should be able to make straight ends for most bracelets.

There are custom endlink craftsmen who might do this type of work.
But you’re looking a $500+ just for the 20mm gold endlinks. Still would need to back cut .5mm off each end that mates to the bracelet. Smarty is one option. (google him) And $5000+ for a gold rivet bracelet. And if you want it to be a solid connection that doesn’t rattle about, add $1000+ for that custom laser welding work. That looks like an old JB Bracelet, quite rare but similar will be available.
I would email Michael Young in Hong Kong and get his idea on what he can do for you |
