5513 - help on bezel insert
Hi everyone, I recently got a 5513 from 1977 (serial 50xxxx) with an atypical bezel with pale-gilt numbers. It doesn't look like a fading to me as the gold colour is very uniform and the bezel is in overall good conditions.
The piece looks genuine for me, but maybe coming from a two tone date-sub. Any thoughts? thx in advance |

It’s genuine. I’ve had loads of these where they’ve taken on a yellow hue. It’s just oxidisation of the sealer

Hi,
You can use this to learn about different types of inserts. To me, yours seems correct. https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/vint...+guide#p601169 |

I’ve seen that slight tint to the font color many times as well.
