Is there a sub or diver that trumps the Sub C Bluesy as an only one ???
Looking to get your input on whether you guys
think there is another one and only daily !!! I currently have a sub c blue sunburst... aka Bluesy!!! I知 currently looking and exploring the idea of a SD4K!!! Is there another Diver as an only one you would choose ? Ok , the Bluesy ticks all the boxes and I知 not in a position to go 116618LB the ultimate yet !!! Unfortunately I know there痴 the Sub LN and ND Sub and various Sea Dwellers. Just curious as to what the forum would vote for. SD4K in question is the 116600 Ceramic BNIB ... Bluesy is colorful yes... I知 just looking and exploring other options if you will ... trying to post a poll . Hopefully I can figure it out ... Ok 4 to choose from ... If there is another reference you can think of let me know ... PM is not an option at the moment... |

I have a nice, simple 14060m that fits the bill perfectly. Reliable, durable and looks great. What else do you need in a daily?

In my opinion the 114060 sits at the top of the heap of the current Rolex sports watch line up... tough, reliable and beautiful. Of the five digits, 14060M gets my vote.

The 126600. Sold my 116613LN when I received the SD and have zero regrets. To me (and I'm stressing that personal thing again) it is a better daily and indeed a better only watch. Nothing against the 40mm SD4K at all, but the proportions, the wider bracelet, the new movement, the splash of red and the slimmer lugs make the SD43 the perfect Rolex diver for me Interstingly, since I've had it, I've had no desire to add another Rolex, whereas previously when I had my Sub I was thinking of adding a DJ2 (or 41) or the EXP2 (black), both of which were on my "want" list. I'd happily have it as an only watch, let alone an only rolex.

PS - I wore my 116613LN as a daily quite happily. The blue wasn't for me but there's no reason whatsoever that the LB shouldn't be the same
May I ask why are you considering a change?

Found one BNIB ... it’s keeping it’s value pretty good now and potentially go up in value... Say I flip the Bluesy (which I’ve had almost 3 years now)for the SD4K C , it I tire of the SD4K C I could flip it back for the sub c Bluesy essentially with minimal loss ... just thinking out loud ... I’ve never given a chance to an all SS Rolex as a one and only . The SD 43 looks really nice but there’s the waiting list and or premium which I’m not partaking of... Not that the SD 43 doesn’t look enticing... it actually does , it’s just not attainable right now unfortunately and I’m not paying a premium for it ... |

The SD 126600 is perfect for daily wear in my opinion. Size, proportions, function and aesthetics.

BUT - (and there's always a but ) have you factored in the hit you'll take on selling your Sub? Personally I can't see the SD4K (particularly if you are considering using at as a daily wearer) appreciating in value sufficiently in the short term to the extent that it will cover the difference in price between what your Sub is worth now to a buyer and what you'd have to pay for a new one if the SD4K isn't for you. Particularly if there's a price rise. If you're good with that then go for it I'm with you on not paying a premium for the SD43 (or any watch for that matter) No harm on getting on a list or phoning around. We're told by many on here that therse are quite easy to get in the US just now

I would just keep what you have. I see no point in changing based on your OP.
If I traded my TT because I love the lugs and dial on the SD and the slightly thicker case, etc...l and displayed some sort of passion then yes but you are not coming across as someone that really loves the watch and more of just a random flipper. Now, that said, it is common to want a change but I will warn you, it is a slippery slope of emptiness at the end of that road. I wear my TT all the time (exact same as yours) and it is a great piece. You will miss it more than you think. |

I prefer the 114060 as a daily for the watches listed. Beautiful balanced dial and can be sourced for around 6k pre-owned and 6.5k new. Now if you want to go to what I consider the watch not listed that would be in the running I would go with the SD43. For me the size is great. The bracelet works with the case in a way that the DSSD does not. The red text is great and I prefer the cyclops. The only problem is they are hard to find and you will not get a discount. Such is life. You have to pay to play.

114060 for me. Bluesy is a great looking watch but flashy and I’m not into flashy really. Give me simple, solid, and SS. The SS Sub is the classic, love it.

I would have the 116610LN over any of the others.
Never liked the 2 tones, never liked the Hulk or Blusey honestly, just the original colour Submariner with the Date complication to make it more usable day to day. :) |

Anything 5-digit or older, and, for me, with a date complication.

My daily has been the LVc, I even chose it over the quieter coloured D500 and YM, as no pcls meant it was really more durable and worry free.

My daily sub(s) is a rotation between a YG and WG SubC. Flawless daily watches.

Put me in the SD43 camp as well if you must leave the bluesy behind. But...I wouldn't even do that.

For me the ultimate is a 16618 with a lapis dial.
I am hoping to buy a 116618lb shortly
