Bezel protectors dissected by model

Hello all!

Does anyone have a list of bezel protectors and their application?

I need one for a 14060 Sub + one for 16600 SD.

Thank you so much!

Better not wearing the watches at all to avoid scratches!

Did Day-Dates ever come with bezel protectors from the factory?

Hi Styles, this is it, from what I've understood, late 1990's onwards have it.

If you have a full set without it you don't have a full set... (my case!)

I am building a log of bezel protectors and which number I have seen on which model.

So far I have seen a number 20 bezel protector on two 16600T Sea-Dwellers, one from 2003 and one from 2006.

I have seen a number 21 bezel protector on a 2012 14060M.

Around 2014 the bezel protector part codes started switching to an "Nxxx" format, so that I have seen (for example) 2010, 2014 and 2015 116710LNs with a 47 bezel protector, but an N170 on 2016 and 2018 models.

I have a sack full of several hundred BPs and wanted to begin making sense of them.

Many Rolex dealers did not include the bezel protector with the watch when it was sold. The main function of it was to protect the bezel during shipping and storage at the dealer. Instead of including them with a sale, they ended up in the trash similar to what happens to the case stickers today.

I’m going to start cataloging my wine corks. Seems like a valuable use of my time vs. just pitching them in the trash.

Thanks. I was imagining something intended for wearing while in use! This does seem more like packaging than an accessory, no?

You jest but many fakers of fine vintage wines are actually looking for that kind of research in minutiae.

Easy, just buy directly from the producer (me) no fakes or Vietnam cork.

While the comment about collecting wine-corks may have been light-hearted, such apparent minutiae can be the stuff of a good collector mind-set. Information is power. All sorts of cross-referencing data contributed to my purchases of the watches in my signature below.

I more than likely have the bezel inserts you are looking for in the back (we are a former AD.) Where are you located?

Lisbon (European Union - Portugal) or Wadesdah (Capital and largest inland city of the fictional nation of Khemed)

I'd need 2 "20" + 2 "21", please.

Thank you!
