Rumors of the Oysterquartz return

I have seen rumors about Rolex re-introducing a quartz model. Does anyone on this forum own one of the old ones? Do you like it? And would any of you buy a new one if it came out? It supposedly is designed to be totally silent, no obnoxous tick-tick-tick sound from the second hand, and a battery with a ten year life. Sounded interesting.

Haven't heard any such thing....yet!! Do you have a concrete source for this info, David?

I own a 17014 OQ. SS and WG bezel.

Love it!

If I could have only one Rolex, the OQ probably would not be the keeper, but it serves to round out the collection nicely. Have nothing bad to say about the watch at all.

I nearly had a YG OQ DD once but it got away from me. Now I'm sorry I let it get away. It would have been a nice addition to the family (and it wouldn't have taken up precious real estate on the winder ).

Rumors >>

This rumor has been circulating for about a year now. Supposedly Rolex was to release the "new" oysterquartz at this year's Basel. But it never happened and I doubt it ever will, but never is a long time. ;-) =) maverick

You can still get them in Saudi Arabia but they are probably old stock.
