And finally… grail watch and air/land/sea Rolex trio completed

Since I was a kid, I have always dreamed of getting a SS Daytona (of course I would want to own a PM one, especially an oysterflex version, but were I to choose just one, I prefer SS over PM in professional sport models). I have always known that this endeavor would be a really long way. Maybe my AD would serve me one, although it would be much later than sooner (I was allocated a Pepsi a month ago, so I don’t think I have received a new “call” for a Daytona this next year or even the next one).

Anyway, after the release of the new reference 126500LN and once having seen it in the wild and put on my wrist, I eventually decided that I would have to go grey for first, and hopefully the last, time. Not only for the warranty or the price, but also for the experience of being the first owner and “the chosen one”. But I was the only way if I wanted to achieve the goal.
To me, the “old” 116500LN Panda is much charming than the current one, whilst I think the black dial 126500LN is a little bit nicer than the previous one, albeit I would say that both are almost tied.

It was not in my plans to acquire such timepiece now, but sometimes “miracles” happen, an unexpected opportunity appears and it is extremely difficult to say “no” and suddenly a dream comes true. So here it is, the most desired timepiece in my collection and the one which complete the “air/land/sea” Rolex trio.

What a Rolex autumn! A BLRO from my AD and a white dial Daytona less than two years before, in addition to the acquisition of the oyster bracelet for my Pepsi jubilee.

Now I think I am done with Rolex for a while, at least regarding SS pieces. Now it is time to enjoy this beauty!

What an amazing journey to finally get your dream Daytona! After all the waiting, the grey market opportunity was the perfect way to make it happen. Your "air/land/sea" trio is now complete, and with the addition of the oyster bracelet for your Pepsi, it’s a truly epic collection. Enjoy your beautiful Daytona. What a perfect way to end this Rolex chapter!
