Icon3 I Got The Daytona!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY THE WAIT IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As some of you may know, I am getting married April 21, 2007 and my fiancée said she would get an SS White Dial Daytona for me as a wedding gift. We have a very good relationship with a local AD who was been promising that by the wedding I will get the watch.

So today my fiancée and I went to the AD to pick up our wedding bands. I wasn’t even thinking about the Daytona since the AD previously told me that I would get it within a few weeks before the wedding . So we get to the AD, he brings out our wedding bands, my fiancée is flipping out over her rings, then the AD says we need to make you that happy, so he pulls out from behind his back a lime green box.

What could it be….? Needless to say I am EXTREMELY HAPPY RIGHT NOW! The wait has been well worth it

And the Family...

What a great collection of watches.

I love the Daytona, although the LV is a beauty too.

Good luck on the upcoming wedding!

Oh SNAP!!
Getting married is SO worth it for that!
I'll have to make some kind of similar deal if I pop the question to the current girlfriend...
I'll print this thread for ammunition
"Honey, can you look over this for a second?"

Thanks, Spencer. Here's hoping you two have as good a marriage as we do!

BTW, those are some awesome pics of a much-sought-after Daytona! You managed to get in JJ's "wristys" AND "palmys" all in one post!

Thanks buddy I sincerely appreciate it.

We're going to Tahiti for our honeymoon, maybe we should try to make our way down to N.Z., it isn't that far is it?

Hey, why not, Spencer? Come on over to NZ since Taihiti is really not too far off.

After all, how many times are you going to come to this part of the world? So since you're here, you might as well come and see some parts of this beautiful country of mine while you're at it.

The weather here in April is superb.....cool 60~65ºF temperatures during the day....shorts and singlet weather!!

Come on over, pal!!

Ok so I've been home now for like 2 hours and I am still staring at this watch. I realize it's not neccesairly the most gorgeous watch on the planet, but when you want something so bad, and wait so long, ahhh it makes it sooo sweet when you finally get it
