How many of you are wanting to 'complete' your Rolex collection?

Curious as I see posts lately around completion or being done. I myself have posted about wanting to retire from this, get the perfect collection and be done etc. And here I am.

So how many of you are thinking you'll reach a point of satisfaction or contentment of finality in your collections?

Versus how many of this look at this as a forever journey with no dreams of 'being done'?

I have a relatively nice Rolex collection and don't see anything coming on the horizon that I might want to add. I have pretty much spent all the money I want to on it so I plan on sitting tight and enjoying the sight.

I don't have any Rolex watches in the collection yet. There is only one that I want and submitted my request to my AD. If it comes it comes.

If you are a true enthusiast, that enthusiasm is the driver. A "collection" is simply an extension of your enjoyment.

There is no definition of an endgame "collection" that you can achieve.

Option #3 - I have already completed my collection. Unless Rolex comes out with some new, totally amazing timepiece that I absolutely must have. But I sincerely doubt that will happen.

My desire for new watches has taken a huge hit actually after getting my dd and Daytona back to back. Maybe it will return in six months or something but at the moment I basically complete.

If they called me saying they have a Batman not spoken for it would be very hard to say no though. I am missing a gmt complication.

I'm waiting for one more, then I'm done. Objective achieved. But who knows what the next objective will be, and if it will involve watches?

+1. I don’t see myself buying another Rolex unless the above happens or the AD situation ever becomes rational again.

I do plan on picking up a few more non-Rolex pieces, that’s more enjoyable at this point.

I like vintage watches and have four Rolex watches now. I could myself getting 2-3 more at some point so I have one a day. I like wearing stuff in the 34-36 range. Maybe I’ll grab a TOG and a vintage Explorer. Who knows what will come after that, although I could use another DJ but with a silver dial and Oyster band…

i'll say this... if the rumored 'dress chronograph' is true..... that would make it a 'must have' !

(depending on how it turns out especially if it's vintage inspired)

I am basically done now, but wouldn’t mind adding an explorer 2 at some point.
Luckily I was able to get all the “hard to get” models before things got super crazy.

It’s seems like for some Rolex is like Pokémon. You have to catch and collect them all.

Same here. I'm happy with my two and I'm lucky to get them at MSRP full set in 2019 right when things started getting crazy. I refuse to play the AD games or pay 2 to 3 times the MSRP.

For me, they keep making new watches that I don't even know that I want yet. If they stopped making new models, I could be content with what I have... Plus 2 or 3 more that I don't have yet.

Once my DJ41 is delivered, I’m done.

In the unlikely event they call me and say they have a new BLNR on Jubilee for me, then I’d buy that too.

I have a 114060 and a black 116500. I think I would be satisfied for a long time if I also got:

- A white dialed Rolex. Maybe a 6263.
- PM Rolex. Really like the RG GMT.

But in the end I know the mind can never really get enough

How many of you are wanting to 'complete' your Rolex collection?

With regard to Rolex, I’m good for now.

Ask me again after settling financial commitments made last year and this year.

Now Tudor on the other hand...

I keep thinking my collection is complete and then I come down with a case of "Rolex" fever. I am afraid that my collection will never be complete if history continues to repeat itself for me.

I think 8 would be the sweet spot for me. 4 Rolex, 1 AP, 1 Omega, and 2 PP. Im just interested in a Daytona and a DD40 next from Rolex. But i reserve the right to cut the list in half for a 911 or Z06. LoL

I’m hoping a 116518ln Newman dial will be my end watch once I get it.

I am done. I have a one in and one out rule in my mechanical watch collection and there are no Rolex references that want badly enough to replace the non-Rolex watches that I currently have.
