Icon11 My Explorer is a Shrimp....

Compared to my little brother's beast:

I even put it on my ankle, it just looks like an ankle bracelet used for house arrest.

What I'm saying is I guess I just like the more traditional designs, and I'm not really following this whole big watch fad. But it might change when I get older.

and your brother's watch is running 30 minutes behind. Probably because of all the heavy stuff inside...

No offense meant here, because I'm into the more sporty watches (reflection of personality?), I might have to agree with your wife there. The diamonds are a little flashy for my taste.

But each to his own! I'm sure you love it!

That's a funny-looking LV? Maybe it should go in the "Watch-Out" section

Hey Kyle, I love your Explorer. It's a timeless classic and shows refined taste. That monster Hamilton strikes me as a look-at-me watch. It almost looks like a joke! I'm probably in the minority when it comes to giant watches...I just think they look silly.

Your Explorer is really nice and will still show your good taste when you're old and grey. Keep it forever and hand it down to your kids.

I love the look.....but it's the size I just can't live with. I even bought a cheap Zeno Explorer just to see if I could get used to it. Couldn't and sold it on the bay.

Thanks for the kind words. One day I do want to pass it down to my kids, maybe it'll get some patina.

It might look small, but it packs a mighty punch since it was the watch used on the first Everest climb!

As large as it is, I really like that Hamilton. But would take the Explorer any day! It seems to outshine just about anything.
Cheers,
Carl

I love the size, it is perfect for every day use and I'm not exactly a small bloke. The thought of lugging around a large chunk of metal on my wrist doesnt do it for me. Kyle, make sure your brother doesnt take it swimming, he'll go straight to the bottom with that thing on...

I gave the strap to him Greg...

It looks good on his wrist, but it's still a bit big. But he loves it, so whatever makes him happy.

As usual, GREAT photos Kyle! Tell your brother to switch arms every now and then to avoid "over development."

I sure enjoy my Exp II.
