Finally saw the 15605SK in person

I haven’t seen much real life photos of this new release. Saw it in the boutique today and I think it’s my new favourite offshore. The rubber bezel has a kind of Frosted Gold look at certain angles!

What’s the finish on the bezel?

Thank for sharing.

That was of the watches my AP House didn’t have during the March Social Club presentation. I’m seriously considering this, though I’m generally not an offshore fan. How does it wear?

In general i like the design of the time and date offshore but the cheap rubber bezel won’t age well. I expect at least a ceramic bezel for the price…

Is the height of the watch an issue?

I wanted this piece, until realized it had a rubber bezel. So got a Taupe instead. For ROO, I prefer ceramic to steel or rubber for durability as they are thick. I like that they made a simpler watch in the ROO setup and hope others will follow with various dial options and ceramic bezel.

Exactly that! Add a grey ceramic bezel at that price point and you have a winner.

"Frosted" rubber will look horrid very shortly esp given how thick the watch is

Agreed. The taupe dial, black bezel, 3 hander would be my perfect ROO, minus the chrono which I could take or leave. Love the rest of the watch. The diver is bland to me, also needs ceramic bezel. Three hander weekend/summer watch would be the jam. Would take over an Aqua any day.

I agree but I question whether they just didn't want to do it. The RO diver is a dog already (esp with the oddly placed valve) and if you happen to give the ROO a stainless or ceramic bezel, there's literally zero point in buying a diver.

They probably didn't want to cannibalize the diver even more for a sports watch

Good point. Looking at my taupe, if they kept it the same but removed the chrono, it would be a perfect summer watch. Dial is dynamic, robust bezel, swappable straps, compliments a RO for a one two punch. Chrono isn’t needed, and diver setup is fussy. I’d prefer other watches for those complications.

Agree, the taupe with an ever so slightly brighter hue would be the ultimate summer watch! Kill the Chrono, leave the ceramic crown and maybe think of a limited edition summer strap

Felt like my 15510ST on a rubber strap. I wears well on my 16.25cm wrist. I love it a lot and have requested for it.

That was what I thought, but this bezel feels more hardened and has a texture to it unlike the previous Rubberclads of the past. A plus point is that it will be cheaper to replace the rubber bezel compared to a steel or ceramic one. Height wise, I would say it is about 1mm thinner than the 43mm offshores.

P.s it is cheaper than the diver by a lot and looks way better.

I heard this is the first of more ROOs to come that are not chronographs. Hopefully they launch something like the 26420IO but in a 3 hander. Titanium case and grey ceramic bezel.

I never loved the Offshore until the 43mm came out. 42 and 44mm never sat right on my wrist and idk why.

I like and have requested one. If the bezel wears to a point where it does t look good I will replace it. But I highly doubt it will given how I wear my watches.

I kinda love it, but already have a diver so I think it’s slightly redundant for me. But it’s perfect for many others starting out with the brand
