Why Rolex will never make the Pepsi in SS ever again!
As I read the forum I always see comments on Rolex bringing the Pepsi bezel GMT back but in SS, and how many people would buy it if that ever came to pass. Well sorry to let you all know, but Rolex will never make a SS BLRO due to the fact that once the watch was made in a PM, Rolex eliminates the thought of the watch in SS, they would look to close to the same watch. So if in fact Rolex is discontinuing the current WG BLRO, sorry to say but we’ve seen the last of the Pepsi GMT....

Yeah, because there will never be a Ceramic Steel Daytona. Or SS SkyDweller, etc...

You're right, the SkyD in SS was just a dream, Bobby Ewing.

What can they do to the Pepsi to differentiate it from the current BLRO? It wouldn’t be the exact make up! i.e the SS Sky D’s have a stick dial vs romans or arabic numeral dials, the gmt wheel is also a different color on the PM version vs SS. The ceramic Daytona also has different dial options to distinguish PM from SS. Rolex won’t make the exact same watch in SS that’s in PM.... Sorry just my opinion, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ceramic Daytonas appeared first on the PT model and then some PM models way before the Ceramic SS model came out. Plus, you most likely will never see a Ceramic SS Daytona with a brown bezel and glacier dial. As far as the SkyD, I believe someone posted from one of the more popular blogs when the SkyD was released, that Rolex had plans to eventually release it in SS. If fact, it has been released in TT and Bi-metal but not entirely in SS. And once again, PM models can be ordered with SS dials but SS models cannot be ordered with PM dials. I agree with you to never say never.....it could happen but I don't think very likely this year. Maybe a PT or WG Coke? Maybe a PT Yachtmaster? But I highly doubt they will release a SS Coke. If somehow they could get the colors more "correct"..why not re-release the BLRO in WG with the new movement rather than release a better BLRO dial into a SS model. But, no harm in wishing. Getting close. |

If Rolex ever releases another Pepsi GMT it will be years from now.
I could see a SS Coke GMT at 50/50 coming out of Basil this year.

There being no more WG Pepsi to kill, perfectly possible to make it in SS yes. However the Coke would probably be easier to make and a novelty. My guess is that will be the new GMT.

Well, the WG BLRO actually is not a Pepsi. It's was Pepsi MAX

I’ll do one better, name one Rolex that was in SS at one point in time, then released it in PM and then rereleased it again in SS with the exact same color scheme, and the exact same dial?

And you can tell a complete difference in each of those watches, in SS vs PM... Maybe they will make a SS Daytona with a brown ceramic bezel and glacier blue dial 🤦🏻*♂️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Makes sense to me. If there’s no distinguishable difference (in color) they wouldn’t do it.

I think its telling enough that Rolex was willing to produce a SS SkyDweller that almost exactly matches the white gold version... Anything can happen.
