Over polished? Not sure
Polished? Yes

It seems like a decent polish job, but it certainly has been polished

If it has been polished very light. Look at your pin holes on the lugs they are not rounded nice and clean not rounded. IMPO not polished or if so a very light one

It has been polished. Not a hack job though, its pretty clean. The bevels are too accentuated though for a post tritium sub.

Polished yes, but not objectionable to me, and I am picky. Overall looks decent.

Why do you feel that way? What do you think has been over done?

Personally I think that the chamfers have been exaggerated, but a lot of people like that look.

The distance between “pin hole(right)” and “spring bar” is too closed, that why I feel maybe over polished.
And yes, I feel that chamfer have been exaggerated also.

Looks fine overall, just only thing that caught my eye is this, looks like they polished the edges a bit hard

Lug edge ding repair. The right way to do it without taking much meat off.

Another thing that I find displeasing is that crown guard, it should be centered and ideally have round shape.

Not sure what the upswept crownguards thing is about. I'm inclined to believe some were originally that shape as a heavy polish would rarely be necessary under there. Certainly not as often as examples like that exist.

Looks alright for a 15-20yo watch but definitely polished as you may expect.

There's no doubt the watch has been polished and those issues that have been pointed out are apparent, my suggestion is to always have the RSC do any polishing of your watches they are the best and if anybody will prevent things like what's been pointed out it will be them.

The way it's being discussed on the Forum it's like polishing a is a bad thing the way. I look at it is just like the scratches give character to the watch polishing adds character to the as well by resurrecting it in one fashion or another just like life. When we get sick we seek treatment and although life may never return as it once was we're content all the same and thank God for feeling as good as we feel.

Enjoy the watch and cheers good health to everone.
Cheers

Polished, but not butchered. If I were OP, I’d find an unmolested example.

Definitely polished, and i don’t think it’s a light polish based on your last pic

That's much less polish than typical for a watch this age. Most examples have most or all of the bevel removed.
