Best grey in Sydney?

Hi Guys,

I知 just getting tired finding/waiting for my first Submariner (114060), so I知 considering to buy it grey. Do you have any recommendations for trusted grey dealers in Sydney? Also what price could I buy this watch on the grey market? I知 looking for a brand new watch.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

If no locals chime in, go to the Classifieds and search function Australia or Sydney.

Alternatively, find a watch almost anywhere from a good seller and have it shipped to where you'll be.

Price ranges can also be found in the Classifieds.

There are several greys in Sydney that can source a new one but prices will vary.
I have bought from one and was very happy with his service.
Please PM me if you池e interested in checking him out

Best thing to do is to check out all the suggestions and make a choice you池e comfortable with (price, supply)
My gut feel is that the current market price for a new one is around AUD$14k

Ivy from Vintage Watch Co or Cove from Sydney Watch Exchange.

Matt from Watch Seller has amazing stock but you will pay for it.

Vintage Watch Co has a good inventory and the Strand Arcade on Pitt St is worth visiting if you haven’t been there before. All the good shopping is near there. You can walk to Syd Watch Exchange on Castlereagh St from the Strand. They don’t have as much inventory but Cove(??) was pleasant when I met him and I’d feel comfortable dealing with him. I would give yourself a lot of time because there’s going to be a lot of other stores you’ll want to see.

If you buy from local grays in Sydney most likely you will pay more than current market pricing you will find on here and other online forums.

Its the price you pay to get it local. If your in SE Asia anytime soon you'll be able to get a good deal now especially in HK. Even after you include exchange rates you could probably give yourself a nice little holiday and flights if you buy O/S rather than local.

AUD has tanked recently though so it was much more attractive when it was around 75c/USD per dollar.

I guess that's true, however, let me say that I just purchased a one year-old Sub C here on the Buy and Sell and paid $700 over new (including the potential tax).

That's about an 8% premium and, yes, the watch is one year old.

But I have it, with box and papers, on my wrist. I can live with that.

Now, a new BLNR or BLRO going for 100 - 125% over MSRP. That's just too much and I can't live with that!

Just my .02. Ben.

I was offered 13k for my one year old sub date by a grey in Melbourne so I think that a new one would be more like 16k
