Retail Price difference - 126515 / 126518 / 126519

I just realized the retail price of the Oysterflex Daytona in Yellow Gold (126518) is $1600 less than the Rose and White Gold versions.

$31,900 vs $33,500

Anyone know why that is?

RG always goes for a premium over YG and WG in the OF Daytona (the ghost) is the most popular

At retail, the difference is WG for example has palladium and platinum in it. Both of which are more expensive than pure 24k gold

Don't know why?
They have less gold content in them!.
Probably just because their more popular!

They are all 18K gold so the amount of gold is equal in all references. 750/1000
It may have something to do with the other 25% types of steel mixed with the gold.

RG has always been more expensive not limited to the daytona.

Only Rolex will be able to answer on pricing strategy, but they never will

I was told once at the AD that the WG/RG cost more because of a Rolex special process used in manufacturing that keep the WG from changing color in time, same with the RG.
Less oxidation in time.

Seemed like a good a good story? So I accepted it.

Also the price difference between the LN Sub and LV? I was told the green bezel cost more to produce? Different pigment….. that one did not seem as believable.

The real reason is that they sell more of them in both cases.

Cheers,
